| A good natured youth with an exceptional amount of psychic power. He was found by Chin Gensai during the KoF98 break, and has since been brought aboard the Psycho Soldiers team to help refine his abilities. |

| KoF '99: | Member of "Psycho Soldiers" team. It was revealed his power is somehow linked to Sie Kensou's. After Kensou's display of power, he has suffered frequent fevers because of power overload. |
| KoF '00: | Still a member of the "Psycho Soldiers" team. Was hit by part of the Zero Cannon blast, and suffered a massive energy overload. Kensou kissed him, and absorbed some of his power. |

| Where Bao actually came from, or wether he had any power at all before coming into contact with Kensou has never been stated. It is confirmed that he is neither the child, or relative of any of the existing Psycho Soldiers, but it has never been openly stated if he is in fact an orphan, or if somewhere his parents do exist outside of KoF. He has supposedly been staying in the care of Chin and co. since jus before KoF '99.(*) |
| During development, Bao was originally designed to be a girl. The concept sprites for his female self were created, but at some point during '99s development, it was scrapped and his gender was changed. |
| Bao is one of the most hated SNK characters fan wise. I imagine it stems largely from the fact that he falls into the "aggravating little child" character caste, but I imagine the open mouth kiss with Kensou at the end of KoF2k did not help.(*) |
